Charity Highlight Section
Cottage Cove Urban Ministry is a non-profit program designed to help at-risk, inner city children. It was founded in 1994, and continues to provide after-school and summer programs free of charge to local children in need. This non-denominational Christian organization serves over 85 children and youth daily. They are funded primarily by donations from both individuals and families in the Nashville, Tennessee area. They provide services such as tutoring, educational programs, summer camps, and Bible ministries. They are located in Vine Hill and Madison, both of which are in Nashville.
LabtronX annually participates in the Open Hands/Open Hearts gala fundraising event, which helps generate financial contributions for the programs at Cottage Cove. We host a table at the gala, which features entertainment, fine dining, and a silent auction.
One of Cottage Cove’s signature programs is their Christmas With Dignity event. Each year, the center provides a low-to-no-cost store for parents and children to purchase Christmas presents for their families. For the last three years, LabtronX has been honored to assist them with this event by assembling large toys, sorting and wrapping gifts, organizing clothing by size, etc. This year Brad’s son Colin came along to help.
LabtronX employees and their families also volunteer for Cottage Cove on nights and weekends, helping shelve library books and tutor one-on-one. We provide manpower for special events and generally give time where we can.
