To our customers and vendors,
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire world. As the days go by, we all feel the rising severity of this extraordinary situation. All of us have a social responsibility, not just to the most vulnerable, but to our communities as a whole. LabtronX takes that responsibility very seriously.
Essential Work
Being primarily in the Water Industry, CISA (Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency of the US Department of Homeland Security) defines LabtronX as having essential infrastructure workers. The maintenance, calibration, and repair of and supply sales for quality control lab equipment and continuous monitoring equipment is needed to help maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operations of our nation’s water utilities.
It is important to note that LabtronX’s reach into essential services also includes other industries we are proud to serve. We will be supporting medical and healthcare, food, defense, transportation, energy, and public works industries as well.
While the greatest burden to maintain our water and wastewater facilities falls on the operators at each location, it is important that they know we are here… ready, willing, and able to help keep the communities water safe and clean. The laboratory equipment must remain reliable and accurate.
Partnership Agreement
The following are a few basic steps that we all must adhere to. Agreeing to these will ensure that doing essential business together will not risk the operation of our critical infrastructures:
-Stay Home
-All Sick Employees Will Stay Home
-All Non-essential Employees Will Stay Home
-All Employees Will Work From Home if Able
-Good Hygiene
-Stop Handshaking
-Clean Hands on Entry
-Clean Hands Regularly
-Cover Coughs and Sneezes (with tissue or elbow)
-Avoid Touching Face
-Disinfect Frequently Touched Surfaces and Items
-Stay 6 Feet Away From Others
-Increase Ventilation (where possible)
Meetings and Travel
-Use Video or Voice Conferencing (where possible)
-Do Not Meet With More Than 10 People
-Conduct Meetings in Open Areas
-Limit Travel to Only Essential Trips
-Follow Travel Advisories for Official Channels
LabtronX Operations
Beyond the above steps, I wanted to give some detail on what LabtronX is additionally doing to limit the risk of infection to our employees, customers, vendors, and communities. This is how we are currently structured to get the essential work done:
-All Employees have been advised to stay home except for essential travel and work
-LabtronX will have one employee at our Nashville location to ship and receive
-The phone will have limited staffing during this time, but you can expect a return phone call by the appropriate person to handle your needs (we can not transfer the calls at this time).
-All Technicians will be on call and be assigned essential jobs remotely (this will include maintenance, calibration, and repair for essential industries; water and wastewater, plumbers, medical, food manufacturers, and public works).
-All Technicians are following the CDC’s (Center for Disease Control) guidelines and recommendations
-If work at your location was scheduled in advance, you can expect a phone call by the assigned technician prior to our visit. He will confirm the best time to arrive and you can talk over any special instructions.
-Currently we have and maintain stock on many needed supplies and equipment. We generally ship these items from LabtronX, but as time goes by we may have to adopt new strategies to comply further with Federal and state guidelines.
We would like to continue to encourage allowing us to email invoices for payment and consider adopting paying by credit card or direct deposit, even if temporarily. This will limit everyone’s need to come into work to process this paper work. The more digital the better.
If there is any additional guidance you would like us to adhere to, please let us know. If you have any questions about this or your equipment and supply needs, as I said before, LabtronX is here for you.
Thanks for being a valued business partner,
Eric A. Link
